August 25th-August 26th 2009

So, it was a tuesday..i worked a full day and did a few massages in the afternoon...came home, went to Joanna's to give her something...came back home and within 5 minutes the fun began! My water broke about 6:45pm!!!!! it was 3 weeks and 1 day before my due date. Clay was home...he ran to grab some clothes and put them in the half packed hospital bags that i had attempted to make...he changed clothes about 5 times...haha...the most levelheaded man i know couldnt decide what to wear to the hospital! i was standing in the hall going just looking at him...he said, "are you waiting on me?"...haha! we get to the hospital...they "confirmed" (haha) that my water had broken...i was only 1 centimeter...blah...so, then i get moved to labor and delivery room...(no contractions yet)the people start coming...my mom, dad, clays mom and dad, cousins, aunts and uncles(all in the delivery room) and all the tv's were out in the hospital! then come the contractions...wow! as everyone is talking and carrying on..i am grabbing the side of the bed, gritting my teeth as my dad is telling me the level of the contractions and when they will be over...then the nurse suggested that everyone leave so i could get some rest. clay is telling me, "get pain meds" and finally the nurse checked me and i was 3 centimeters! i very willingly decided to get an epidural...i was so scared about that bc i was shaking from the pain and i thought i had to be so still to get an epidural. the 2 guys were great that gave me the epidural...apparently you dont have to be extremely still...thank GOD! so then i could feel absolutely NOTHING from the waist down...then we just waited..at this point GOD gave me Psalms 18, so thats what i was reading during this time...then the doctor came in about 4:45am on the 26th and i was between 5 and 6 centimeters but....she said, "i think i feel a little bottom instead of a head" Kyley was breach, so off to the O.R. i went for a c-section. this is something i really didnt want...but obviously had to happen. so clay got dressed in scrubs, they shot two more doses in my epidural, so now my fingers were going numb! clay came in the O.R. after i was prepped for the surgery...then the dr. started cutting..couldnt feel a thing except my body shaking back and forth from the dr. jerking to get miss Kyley out! Clay then proceeds to look over the sheet!!!! i was like, "dont tell me what u just saw!" i couldnt believe he did this! well, at 5:23 am on August 26th, our sweet little girl Kyley Joy Wiles was born. 20 inches long, 6lbs 13 ounces! She had her daddy wrapped around her little finger already! well clay took Kyley to meet everyone, then they took me to recovery. i didnt get to see my little one for almost 3 hours. they had taken her to the nursery of course to clean her up, but kept her in there because she was having some breathing issues...nothing serious, but of course i freaked out...finally clay brought her to me in my room! she is the most beautiful thing we have ever seen. throughout our stay at the hospital she had some respiratory issues due to her being 3 weeks early, and she had jaundice pretty bad. they let us go home saturday, august 29th and we had several dr. visits over the next week because of her jaundice and she had lost down to 6.7 when we left the hospital. She ended up gaining up to 7.2... so we were very happy! she hasnt quit gaining either!~ shes become quite the chunker!
